Estate Home Project in Bristol, Tennessee

ACM Design is excited to announce our new home project in Bristol, Tennessee.

East Tennessee’s Tri-Cities area is near and dear to Amy’s heart. Born and raised in Kingsport, Amy has deep roots in the community with her parents and close family still residing in town. A home project in Bristol was intriguing, not only because of the family who engaged her for the project, but because it was about coming home . . . both for Amy, and in a way for these clients too.

When this bucolic estate became available for purchase, our clients had been looking for quite some time in Northeast Tennessee for the perfect setting to create a new home for their working horse farm. While others were looking to purchase large parcels of land for subdividing and further development, our clients sought a generational property for growing their family and business in this picturesque mountain community in rural Tennessee. The 350 acre property was a rare find and hadn’t been on the market in several decades.

Amy and the new owners felt an instant connection. Their shared sense of the importance of family and preserving the idyllic, rural nature of this Bristol property were paramount. Amy understood the topography, landscape, history and community of the area and wanted to help preserve the property, which included three homes: an existing main house, a 1790’s cabin moved from Virginia to the property, and a caretaker’s farmhouse. The challenge of how to preserve the character of this homestead while incorporating a newly designed main house to create an overall feel of rustic elegance was exciting to everyone. As the ideas began to flow between Amy and the owners, it became clear that her vision and the ACM Design team was the right choice for this project.

We look forward to sharing updates about the Elegant Rustic Mountain Horse Farm project in Bristol.
