ACM Design Appears on Stone Journal

Amy Conner-Murphy, Principal of ACM Design appears alongside Kevin Reed, Owner of Bluestone Construction discuss The Lumiere House on the Stone Journal moderated by Amy Sneider, Editor-in-Chief of Aspire Design and Home Magazine.

Amy Connor-Murphy details her team’s holistic approach to custom home design in the Asheville, NC market. She fondly reflects on the early interactions with the clients and how meeting her clients in their existing spaces helped her to understand how they live and informed the concept of the design. Kevin Reed recalls the first time he went out on the lot. This is one of his favorite times on any project as you’re out there in the undeveloped space and it is pure imagination of what will become.

It takes a team to develop beautiful homes … and materials that bring to life the designs. This project utilized the Fond du Lac Tailored Blend and Indiana Silverbuff from Buechel Stone.

Using the Buechel Stone on this project gave the structure and texture the clients desired at full depth stone veneer, not a thin stone veneer. Using the 3D models created by ACM Design help Bluestone to understand the intricate details of this home design including the punched openings of the doors and windows with the thickness of a full depth stone. Trusting talented craftsman who have the experience with these materials brings to life the architectural drawings and creates a timeless elegance that will last more than 100 years.
